(Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said on Friday the economic recovery has softened more than expected and the Fed is ready to take further steps if needed to spur the stumbling economy. Egypt Meditrade Buys 20,000 Tons Of Soyoil

  CAIRO (Dow Jones)--Egypt's state-owned General Authority for Supply andCommodities bought 20,000 metric tons of soyoil and 16,000 of sunflower oil in a tender through private intermediary Meditrate. Of the total, Meditrade bought 20,000 tons of soyoil. It bought 15,000 tons from Wataniya/Cargill and 5,000 tons from Alex Seeds. They were all at the price of 4,845 Egyptian pounds per ton ($850.3) for delivery in August, a Meditrate official told Dow Jones Newswires Wednesday. Meditrade also bought 16,000 tons of sunflower oil in the tender that ended late Tuesday.
