  • Overnight grain markets were higher for corn, higher for soybeans, and higher for wheat.
  • This morning the USDA announced the private sale of 140,000MT of soybeans sold to unknown destinations for the 2015-2016 marketing year.
  • This morning’s export sales report was surprisingly good for old crop soybeans, as expected for corn, and solid for wheat.
  • Tomorrow will be the first notice day for August grain futures.

  • Corn and wheat are off to a weak start overnight. Soybeans are trailing but still lower, overall the new crop corn-bean ratio has been rising and is now up to 2.48.
  • The Russian’s are reporting a record production year for the Black Sea region at 9.8 million mts which may be part of the reason for that wheat weakness. The spring wheat tour is also reporting.

Market Highlights 7-24-15
  • Last Friday was quite negative as traders didn’t want to go into the weekend with long positions in place. It appears this Friday is starting out that way as well. December corn was down 4 ¼ cents overnight at $4.09 ½. November soybeans were down 6 ¼ cents at $9.74 ¼ and December wheat was down 4 ¾ cents at $5.24 .
